As a budget-conscious home owner, I am always shocked by the price of lamps and light fixtures in stores. So, it's no big surprise that I am a huge fan of awesome DIY light fixtures. I've made plenty of my own DIY light fixtures for my own home that I've written about here on my blog, but I today I want to share with you some additional DIY light fixtures from around the blogosphere. They are seriously amazing.

1) DIY Concrete Pendant Lights–; I cannot even handle how amazing these DIY light fixtures made from concrete are. Y'all know how much I love concrete! I can't wait to make one (or more) of these for myself. Click here to see the full tutorial over on Brit Co.

6) DIY Pendant Light Using Your Own Fabric–;Sometimes it can be hard to find just the right color or pattern for a light fixture. Well, now there is a solution. You can make your own DIY pendant light using whatever fabric you choose. Check out the full tutorial here.

10)DIY Globe Light–;This is one of the most creative DIY light fixtures I have seen. Globes are such a great way to add color and texture to a room, so incorporating one into a pendant light is brilliant! You can check out the full tutorial here.

This pattern is an ode to my beautiful bridesmaids who rocked my wedding almost 2 years ago today, wearing floor length Two Birds dresses. The dresses not only looked stunning, but they were comfortable thanks to the stretchy jersey fabric and the multiway convertible straps which could be tied any manner of ways to suit, and provided an (almost) headache free way to flatter every body shape from my 5 foot little sister to my 6 foot cousin-in-law – yay, mission accomplished.

The Summer Season is upon us and whilst our summers are notoriously transient and not always abundant with the enviable sunshine of our European neighbours the days are longer and the air is warmer. We all look forward to throwing open our windows, inviting the outdoors in and getting outside.

One thing I have learned about wedding planning is that when brilliant ideas?strike, you just have to run with them.?Even though our wedding is still?6 months away, yesterday I was inspired to begin my thank you notes. We received our first gift a week ago and that got me thinking about this task on my to do list. I knew I did not want to buy them but really had not seen pictures of anything that I might want to do. Usually my projects are inspired by a picture that I saw of what someone else did. I very rarely think of something completely original off the top of my head. Although this is not based on a picture, my favorite store can definitely be given the assist on this one.
