First up we’;d like to introduce Carolann, the creative DIYer behind the blog Sassy Town House Living. Carolann had an old decorative mirror that she didn’;t want to throw away.? It was a part of an old bedroom set and she felt it would make a lovely piece of wall art.? The first thing she did was refinish the frame. The mirror itself was beat up but since she didn’;t plan to replace it, stenciling was the next option!? Carolann browsed our website and selected the Resonance Wall Art Stenciloutdoor cushion covers, a modern pattern inspired by sound waves.? She used blue painter’;s tape to hold the stencil in place and painted the pattern in red and metallic gold using a stencil brush.? When it was complete, she lifted the stencil off to reveal the pretty design. She had this to say about her project, “;It’s such a delight to know that I’ve turned my old mirror into a work of art I can enjoy every day.?”; To read more amazing projects by Carolann and to enter her $50 stencil giveaway, please visit her blog Sassy Town House Living.

Harmony Damask Stenciled Mirror

Next up we’;d like to welcome Gail, the creative DIYer behind the blog My Repurposed Life.? Gail had a plain mirror she wanted to embellish with a stencil pattern.? She browsed our website and selected the Harmony Damask Stencil, a classic damask design.? She used blue painter’;s tape to hold the stencil in place and painted the pattern in white using a dense foam roller.? If you are recreating this project at home then be sure to roll off any excess paint. Too much paint on your brush or roller will cause the paint to bleed under the stencil. When it was complete, Gail lifted the stencil off to reveal the pretty damask pattern.? What do you think? We love it!

Tell us, do you have a decorative mirror at home that you would like to stencil? We’;d love to read your thoughts in the comments below.
