This is a gorgeous statement necklace that will provide a bright pop of color to any outfit. The rich red glass teardrops are handmade and are stunning.The necklace measures 18" in length, plus a 2 1/2" extender chain, making the maximum length 20". Sterling silver end caps and Swarovski crystal give the finishing touch to this beautiful piece.The necklace is created using an ancient Japanese braiding technique called Kumihimo. A wooden stand called a marudai is used as a loom. Multiple cords are beaded with carefully selected color combinations of beads and then wound around wooden bobbins. The bobbins are weighted and counterweighted so they spread evenly across the marudai. The weaving is done by lifting the cords across the marudai in pairs in a selected pattern based on the desired design., one of a kind
